MRD Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing third-party logistics (3PL) business for an experienced Nightshift Warehouse Supervisor to join their high-performing operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional with strong leadership skills to step into a key supervisory role within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of night operations, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
The Role
As Nightshift Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead and motivate the night warehouse team to ensure all inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and dispatch activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.
You will play a critical role in maintaining service levels for key customer accounts while driving continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the nightshift warehouse team across all operational activities
- Ensure daily workload is planned and completed in line with SLA and customer expectations
- Monitor picking, packing, loading, and dispatch accuracy
- Drive team performance, productivity, and operational efficiency
- Conduct shift briefings and provide clear direction to warehouse operatives
- Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance across the site
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and stock variances
- Support training, onboarding, and development of warehouse staff
- Liaise with transport, inventory, and day shift teams to ensure smooth handovers
- Produce shift reports and update management on KPIs and performance
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader role within a 3PL, logistics, or distribution environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, picking, and dispatch
- Experience managing teams on night shifts within a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse KPIs
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Health & Safety focused with a proactive management style
- FLT licence (desirable but not essential)
- Flexibility and reliability with a strong work ethic
