MRD Recruitment is currently recruiting a Merchandiser Administrator on a full-time permanent basis for one of our clients based in Glasgow City Centre.
Our client is a leading UK retailer with a strong national presence, supplying paint, decorating products, and specialist solutions to both trade and retail customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a highly organised and detail-oriented Merchandising Administrator to support their commercial and merchandising teams.

The Opportunity
Working closely with Merchandisers, Buyers, and Supply Chain teams, you will provide administrative and analytical support to ensure product information, stock management, and merchandising processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the merchandising function, helping to ensure products are available when customers need them while supporting wider commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update product and supplier information across internal systems.
- Assist with stock management and replenishment processes.
- Produce and distribute regular merchandising reports and performance data.
- Support the setup and administration of new product launches, promotions, and seasonal ranges.
- Monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies or potential issues.
- Assist with forecasting, sales analysis, and inventory reporting.
- Liaise with suppliers, stores, and internal departments to resolve product and stock-related queries.
- Ensure data accuracy across merchandising and inventory systems.
- Support Merchandisers and Buyers with ad hoc administrative and analytical tasks.
- Contribute to process improvements and the efficient running of the merchandising function.
About You
- Previous experience within an administrative, merchandising, retail, or commercial support role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident working with data, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Good Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
