A leading global manufacturer within the advanced technology and manufacturing sector is seeking a Building Services Engineer to join its high-performing Facilities team at a key UK manufacturing site.

The Role
As a Building Services Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of the site’s mechanical infrastructure.
You will be involved in the day-to-day running of critical plant systems, while also contributing to projects, system upgrades, and long-term engineering improvements. Over time, you will take ownership of specific mechanical systems across site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operation and maintenance of site-wide mechanical and building services systems
  • Ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery of utilities to support manufacturing operations
  • Carry out system analysis, fault finding, and problem-solving activities
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects from concept through to installation and handover
  • Work closely with contractors, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of works
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings
  • Assist with the development and upkeep of engineering drawings and documentation

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a well-rounded engineer with experience across mechanical and building services systems within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
You will ideally have experience with:
  • HVAC systems, ventilation, and air handling
  • Mechanical plant such as pumps, pipework, and pressure systems
  • Utilities such as chilled water, compressed air, or steam systems
  • Working in regulated or high-spec environments (e.g. manufacturing, cleanrooms, pharma, energy, etc.)
Advantageous experience includes:
  • Cleanroom environments
  • Refrigeration systems
  • Effluent or water treatment systems
  • Energy monitoring and optimisation
  • Use of AutoCAD for engineering drawings

Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar (preferred)
  • HNC/HND with relevant industry experience will also be considered
