Project Planner

£50000 - £55000 per annum + plus excellent benefits

My Engineering client, based in Hamilton, is recruiting for a Project Planner to collaborate with Project Teams to produce schedules and reporting data to facilitate successful project delivery.

Reporting to the Lead Planner, the Project Planner based in Hamilton will be responsible for delivering resourced, robust baseline project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate and produce project plans and associated documents and report (“S” curves, Histograms, Tabulated resource/progress data)
  • Ensure all services and deliverables meet Company, Client and Project requirements.
  • To promote good working relations with the planning team, other project departments and client representatives
  • Commitment to and promotion of company values and ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures
  • Assisting with the developing and maintaining of Project Planning and Costing processes to meet business requirements
  • Support priority management including use of Kanbans
  • Ensuring adequate levels of understanding and competence within the broader business in the use of EVA/EVM systems, tools and reports
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the goals and values of the company
  • Approach tasks with dedication and perseverance, ensuring the realization of company and project objectives
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey information, instructions, and updates to team members, stakeholders, and management

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • HNC or equivalent
  • Previous planning experience, responsible for large-sized projects or large sized-sub-element of a major project
  • Proficient in Primavera P6
  • IT/Computer literate with experience in MSP and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
