MRD Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner (newly qualified) on behalf of our manufacturing client. My client is a global leader in their respective field. The Finance Business Partner is based in Greenock and reports into the Financial Controller.
The successful Finance Business Partner, based in Greenock, will be part of the UK Finance team. As a Business Partner your responsibilities will combine period end work with providing support and analysis to the Greenock site’s operational teams. Tasks and responsibilities are rotated within the UK Finance team on a regular basis so you will gain and eventually leverage an understanding of all aspects of the business and the role of finance within it.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- General ledger accounting including completion of the period end close process
- Inventory standard costing & reconciliation
* Provision of inputs and insights into the monthly forecasting process
* Preparation of analysis and reporting departmental expenditure to support operational decision making, with a focus on cost control - Provide continuous financial insight to the business through participating in operational meetings
- Ad hoc projects as directed by the Financial Controller
Knowledge, Skills & Experiences
- Candidates must be a Chartered Accountant and have a Bachelor’s Degree (Minimum 2:1)
- Ideally, the candidate will be newly qualified
- Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks and projects at the same time
- Ability to gain the confidence and trust of internal customers and manage expectations effectively
- Analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships within their team and with their customer departments
- Ability to integrate and work positively within a cross functional team environment
- Self confidence
- Genuine interest in both gaining knowledge of a high-tech manufacturing business and developing others through a willingness to share experience and knowledge
- Good to excellent Excel skills
