MRD Recruitment is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Manager for one of our manufacturing clients based in Renfrewshire.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of optimising supply chain efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support business growth.
- Oversee procurement of raw materials and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet demand and optimise inventory levels.
- Manage logistics, distribution, and warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Analyse supply chain performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across the supply chain.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and procurement practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
